The Cape Old Timers’ Softball League consists of four senior softball divisions each with five teams. The 60’s division is comprised of players age 57-64, the 65’s division is comprised of players 65-69, the 70’s division is comprised of players 70-74 and the 75’s division is comprised of players 75 and older.

There are nearly 300 men and women playing in the League.

The regular season starts in mid-May with each team playing approximately 30 games. The final week of the season ending on Labor Day is reserved for the double-elimination playoffs where each team is seeded based on their regular-season record. Games are played on eight different fields in the towns of Chatham, Dennis, Harwich and Yarmouth.

Every year, normally the first or second week after Labor Day weekend, the COTSL hosts a senior softball tournament known as the Cape Cod Senior Softball Classic. The tournament this year has grown from a three day to a six-day event. Approximately 60 teams participate, travelling to the Cape from all over New England, mid-coastal states, and Canada.
